Photoshoot

Video Evidence

While we were shooting our photoshoot, we decided to film us as we were working in order to show behind the scenes and how we actually took the photos. Rob filmed it as the rest of us were setting up. He used a sony camcorder that was provided by our sixth form. It also gives you an idea of how we made use of certain rooms to our benefit, as we collectively put together A3 pieces of paper in order to create a nice white background on the whiteboard

Photographic Evidence

The few photos shown above prove how we collectively worked as a group in order to achieve a suitable location and equipment for the ancillary tasks. The photos were taken by Rob on his iPhone 5S and focus on group cooperation. The photos show a sense of realism and allows us to look back on how we produced the photos we did. Much like the video, the photos make the production process more professional and shows the equipment we used.

Final Photos

All of the photos above are forms of evidence to show that we carefully planned our photoshoot. We had to ensure that each of the four characters were wearing the same costumes as they were going to have on in our final video for continuity purposes. This would also allow our audience to associate their personalities with their costumes, forming bonds with them (Uses & Gratifications theory: Personal Relationships). As you can see in the video at the top, Jonny captured the images using his Canon EOS 10D digital SLR camera with the aid of a tripod and the timing setting when he had to quickly rush in the shot for the mid-shot. As I previously mentioned on the caption for the photo, we used white A3 sheets of paper in order to completely cover the board, which also made it easier to edit out the background using Affinity Photo, a photo editing software on Jonny's MacBook Pro. Close ups were chosen as they are conventional and show the star's image (Dyer's Star Theory).
